I'm Martin, one of bda's account managers.

Varied is a word that is often over used, but with my background, I feel it's a just description. Way back in the days of black and white I started as an electrical draughtsman. Unfortunately the advent of computers handed this once artistic skill back to the engineers and a change of direction was needed. So, it was off to the London College of Fashion to study applied graphics and a little architectural form.

This newly grasped knowledge catapulted me into a designer's position at a London agency where I worked with a varied range of clients, including Kylie and Mikael Gorbachev! A move from creative agency to a print management company followed. This new arena allowed me to pick up a 'party wowing' vocabulary of print technicalities and procedures as well as more and more involvement in account building and project management.

This new thrill of client relationships and delivering an overall project eventually won me over, and my passion for design, although ever present, had to take the seat behind account management on my continuing career bus. Blessed with the opportunity to look after some major blue chip clients across Europe, the journey became ever more exciting and has now culminated in being able to truly combine my two greatest interests - design and people.
